Finqle sends two kinds of email: transactional (always on) and operational (configurable). This article explains the difference and shows you how to route invoices to the right inboxes.
TL;DR
- Transactional emails (login links, payout confirmations, invoice rejections) are always sent and cannot be disabled.
- Operational emails (statements, year-end summaries) can be routed to specific inboxes for bookkeeping.
- Set separate Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable addresses so your bookkeeping software ingests the right UBLs automatically.
Email types
| Type | Examples | Configurable? |
|---|---|---|
| Login | Magic link | No |
| Verification | IBAN change confirmation, ID re-verification | No |
| Invoicing | Invoice received, rejected, credited | Recipient configurable |
| Payout | Payout completed, Transaction Statement | Recipient configurable |
| Bookkeeping (UBL) | Sales (M-series), purchase (F-series, V-series) | Recipient configurable |
| Reminders | Onboarding incomplete, contract expiring | Yes (frequency) |
Setting recipient addresses
In My Finqle > Settings > My Profile you can configure:
- Primary contact email: receives all account-level notifications.
- Accounts Receivable email: receives sales UBLs (M-series) for ingestion in your bookkeeping.
- Accounts Payable email: receives purchase UBLs (F-series factoring fees, V-series platform fees).
- Billing contact: optional, used for invoice-related questions only.
